Centre closed after chlorine leak

A shopping centre in Coventry has been cordoned off after chlorine was found leaking from cylinders on the back of a lorry parked there.

The emergency services closed Cannon Park Shopping Centre in Lynchgate Road while specialist recovery teams from Cheshire travelled to the incident.

Three workers at a nearby Tesco store had to be given first aid after breathing in fumes.

The lorry had been parked at the centre overnight on its way to Chester.

West Midlands Fire Service said the lorry was carrying 100 cylinders.
