Company TravelWise Grant Reminder

This financial year I will again be running a grant scheme for TravelWise companies
and companies with Green Travel Plans in Coventry. Companies will be able to bid
for money from the Local Transport Plan for projects which will increase the numbers
of people using sustainable means for traveling to work. This money is only available
this financial year and must be claimed by the 11th March 2005 or it will
be lost.
The maximum grant available is £2000. There should be an element
of match funding from the company, although staff time can count towards this.
To apply for this grant I would need details of the proposed project, including
costs, and the predicted benefits.
Projects could include:
- cycle storage
- changing facilities
- car sharing database
The 3 dates to remember are:
- The deadline for applications is 31st December 2004.
- Grants must be spent by 28th February 2005.
- All invoices should be received by 11th March 2005.
Grants will be paid on a claim back basis. An invoice will need to be submitted
to the Council from you claiming the money, along with copies of
the invoices received for work carried out.

I have tried to make the system as simple as possible to encourage as many companies
to apply as possible. However only companies with Green Travel plans or who are
members of Company TravelWise will be able to apply.
